GT3 Touring Car Cup Round 2
Any exciting race for all cars and man what action there was! I will start off from the top with car #02. Nathan Lamothe took the wheel of the XRR GT3 for the first hour of the race and powered his way past teammate Ray Kingsbury. Nathan then continued to battle with cars near the top 10 and pushed his race craft to the limit. After the first safety car at around 45 minutes Nathan opted to stay out for the next 25 minutes with his used tires, as did others. However upon the 2nd safety car at 50 minutes Nathan opted to pit and swap seats with Matt Kingsbury. Matt had a rather poor start after being taken out by an FXR GT3 that uncautiously rejoined the track smacking into him and damaging his suspension. Matt continued on until he was stuck in a sand pit and opted to retire.
The #18 FXR GT3 driven by Jordan Lavrikov, Rihard Suur, and Karolis M. had a much more consistent and simple race. This was the first endurance race for all 3 drivers and they put their heart and soul into it. Rihard started the boys off at the back of the grid, near 25th but his consistent pace meant that the car would be brought back in one piece. Karolis and Jordan drove with similar zeal and besides being pushed off track by other cars and battling with teammate #18 Ray Kingsbury had a rather uneventful race and cruised to a finish 1:45 behind the leader in 13th position.
The #22 FZR GT3 had a very eventful race. Ray Kingsbury started behind the wheel and battled with teammate Nathan Lamothe as well as other cars in the stint while maintaining a position of approximately 15th. At the 45 minute mark there was a caution and Ray decided to take advantage of this to change tires and to swap seats with Joe Letteriello. Joe and Ray’s plan was foiled when there was a second caution flag just minutes later. Joe pushed on to finish the 2nd hour in a relative pace. Ray hopped behind the wheel for the 3rd hour yet again and was on fire. In the first half hour of his stint he had worked his way up to 7th position and was battling with cars such as Team Vires. Unfortonately after a safety car restart, Ray was taken off the track in a pileup and was at the back of the pack. Ray pushed hard and set a team personal best of 1:43.68 before catching up to car #21 of Team Vires and passing them. Ray left the #21 car approximately 10 seconds in the dust. However bad luck struck when the fuel was miscalculated and the team was 1.3% short. Joe clutched as much as he could in the last hourwhile battling #17 Savage Sim Sports but unfortunately ran out on the front stretch. The #22 car finished in 12th position after a 20 second penalty.
Decent drive in Super GT Series
The team took to the tarmac today at Blackwood. The second round of the Super GTSeries was an exciting one and LLM cars saw much action. First action was in theGt300 class in which our FX300 had to finish in the top 5 in a sprint race to beable to qualify for the actual race. After guest driver Dennis Lind sleeping in,Rui Pinto was forced to do this race. Pinto started off midway through the fieldand slipped in the grass early on dropping to 7 positions from the cutoff. However, Rui pulled through at the end and put the team through to the mainevent. The GT500 FZR had already been eligible for the event after finishing10th in the first round. Both teams qualified for the race and soon the GT500fell behind, but Dennis Lind in the GT300 car darted to 5th/ 15th in the class.GT500 soon rallied a slight amount before being taken off by CoRe’s GT500 teamin a side by side racing accident. The GT300 car continued on and Pintoeventually took the wheel to finish the car in 7th in class. However the GT500team came to finish in 13th position of 15 cars following a 10th place finish atAston. Thanks to Dennis Lind for the help and thanks to Rui Pinto, MindaugasBart., and Mindaugas Stankus for driving the cars. We will be back next roundwith hopefully better results !
LLM has some action on the Last Lap
GT3 Touring Car Cup 3 hours of AS7 took place last sunday, the race was very interesting with 5 LLM cars on the grid. The team put a huge amount of effort into the setups and the practice and came up with good results. James Harridge of England managed to qualify the #27 FXO GT3 in 4th position, the Lithuanians in #37 FXO GT3 in 7th, and the American Ray Kingsbury put the #02 in 9th place while Jarl Teien of Norway put the #41 in the 11 position (#18 of Elvis Libieitis on provisional 14th). The action picked up quickly as James moved his FX3 into first place, with Nathan starting the #02 car and moving down to the rear of the grid after contact with Jarl and Elvis. Meanwhile the #37 car avoided most of the major contact. The #27 decided upon a 45 minute strategy and as Chris Kasch took over his brake pedal started to drag, Chris endured the 45 minutes and got to work on fixing his pedals while James went on speeding ahead. By this time Rui Pinto had taken over for the #02 car and set about on a mission of tyre saving; which he succeeded upon. The #37 car had managed to continue to climb positions and was right behind the #02 by the end of the hour. The #41 had a rough start and Tomas Lovrec of Slovenia, managed to stretch the XR3′s tryes 15 extra minutes after Jarl Teien short pitted due to damage. Nearing the last half hour of the race Ray Kingsbury was in the #02, Chris Kasch back in the #27 (still with pedal issues) and Mindaugas Stankus was into the #37 while Tomas remained in the #41 (#18 had already DNF at this point). Ray had worn his tyres thin trying to run Chris down and Mindaugas the same trying to catch Ray. Chris had the advantage due to 45 minute pit stops. Coming into the last few minutes in order to assure that his tyres would not puncture Ray allowed for his teammate Mindaugas to pass. This turned out to be the best idea as the #27 and #37 (teammates) decided to rub fenders on the last lap; fighting over the final podium spot. The #37 ran off and dropped to 5th, Ray was up to 4th, and then finally in the final chicane Ray backed off to insure 4th; however Chris didn’t have the same idea and spun off. Ray moved to 3rd, Mindaugas 4th, and Chris 5th. While Tomas Lovrec secured 11th after some car issues.
Overall, great racing and we hope to see you on the track!
LLM Upfront for GT3!
Last Lap Motorsports cars headed to the track in anticipation of some good hard racing. What was not expected however, was to have such superb results. Right off the bat the LLM team was surprised by qualifying results. James Harridge managed to grab 3rd for the #27, Ray Kings secured a 5th place for the #02, while Jarl Teien and the #41 found last row after a roll over, #37 with Mindaugas Loda serving a last row penalty, and the #18 with Heikki Tuominen with unfortunate qualifying results. However, the race started off with a quick pace as James Harridge found himself in first position, Ray Kings in 3rd, and Jarl Teien charging up to 6th, with the Lithuanian in the #37 following in close pursuit, and #18 keeping up with the pack.
Though things were going well, they couldn’t stay that way forever. At around the half hour mark Ray Kings found his #02 FX3 without left side dampers after rolling in a chicane while in 3rd. A decent recovery was made and the car kept on the lead lap. The second victim was James Harridge in 1st place, who rolled and recovered but ended up stuck in the sand without any steering. Next to fall was Mindaugas Loda with an unfortunate connection drop which forced Nathan Lamothe to quickly settle in and try to stay on the leadlap. The Jamaican day was wearing on and the tediously steep curbing had took their town on the team.
However things quickly picked up in a positive direction as yellow flags more frequently came. Rui Pinto had made the charge to recover laps and was soon only a few seconds off of the field. Jarl Teien in his XRR were already battling in the front of the field. Heikki Tuominen’s FZR was running decent but found itself short on fuel and was into the pits early. Nathan Lamothe was recovering but another timeout forced the #37 to watch from the sidelines.
Continuing on with the charge, the #02 swapped drivers again and Ray Kings was back with avengance. Driving the wheels off of his warpig he soon found himself close to the field again and with renewed hope. At this same time Tomas Koreny took over for the #18 and continued with slow pace trying to assure his car would stay in one piece. At the same time Jarl handed his car off to Thomas Lovrec who kept the XRR for aproximately 45 minutes before handing it over to Jarl for the last half hour. The #18 suffered bad fortune and ran out of fuel.
2 Last Lap Motorsports cars remained in the race as Jarl Teien and Ray Kings pushed very hard. The last caution flag flew and both drivers had the chance to make something happen. Jarl was at the back, but he was fast. Meanwhile Ray was up near the front and was running 3rd for quite a while before being involved in incident forcing him back to 5th. Soon Jarl had caught Ray from 13th, and Ray allowed for his teammate to pass. Soon Jarl made the push and found himself in 3rd; Ray followed right behind and took 4th. Though some bad luck played its hand, the results were still satisfiable.
Thank you to those involved in the effort.
LLM in November

Last Lap Motorsports drivers Patch and Bmxtwins took to the track for the final 2 rounds of the LCHRL series. At Derry the two drivers qualified 2nd and 5th with Bmxtwins quickly taking the lead and racking up a whopping 43 laps lead onto his 3rd victory while teammate Patch consistently held 5th. After a very exciting 6th round it looked as if Bmxtwins had the points standings easily under his belt, but Patch who had missed a race was not as fortunate. Into the final round at Indianapolis Raceway Park Bmxtwins took the pole award, and then the fastest lap award, but with some mistakes found himself in 2nd behind Mustangman who had passed him below the apron to work his way to the victory 8 seconds ahead of Bmxtwins, with Patch being collected in a wreck and parking it for a 6th place finish. The season ended and…

“Congratulation to Bmxtwins, the new 2010 Season 6 Legend Car Heat Racing League Champion! Bmxtwins took the lead early but had several other drivers chasing him all season long. He captured 3 wins and 2 pole awards, he also gathered 11 bonus points the most of any other competitor.
The LCHRL will be back in Late January 2011 for its 7th season where we will see a return to the classic tracks and some great dirt tracks!” Says the LCHRL site, Bmxtwins has officially been given the gold metal, a whopping 18 points over second, while Patch started off strong, and unluckily ended up in the 7th position.

LLM drivers Oldnslow, Patch, and Bmxtwins found themselves on the grid for round 2 of Speedsims’ Shelby Can Am Series, at Oulton Park. Bmxtwins qualified for the second time in a row on the pole position. Unfortounately Bmxtwins found himself out of the race 1 lap in after taking a drive through and being forced to disconnect. Patch and Oldnslow continued on through a rough race and Oldnslow finished a 2nd and 4th place finish. Patch scoring 9 and 7 points. Bmxtwins 1 for his bonus point of pole. Going into round 3 at Grand Valley East, Smoke’s newest track, Bmxtwins took 2nd in qualifying after some mistakes (and a slow time). Bmxtwins quickly worked his way through the laps in 2nd place and Oldnslow in 3rd, Patch was further back but on lap 11 Bmxtwins found his right rear unusually gripless and his suspension in the hurt. This damage cost Bmxtwins valuable time and he slowly crossed the line in 4th place. While Ron had taken 2nd. Going into the 2nd heat Bmxtwins quickly jumped from 5th to 2nd place on the start, and was stuck behind Nathan Lamothe for the entire race giving DaveO an easy run up front, Bmx took 3rd after over working tyres. Oldnslow took 4th, and Patch an unafortunate rear finish.

GT3 Touring Car Cup season 2 is on the way, the LLM team will be fielding 2 cars. An FZ3 and an FX3. After finishing last season in a 3rd place position the team hopes to repeat that again this year. If you are interested in competing with us this year please post in the forums or PM Bmxtwins.

The Last Lap Motorsports team finished the MiniFBM 3rd series in a 3rd overall position in the team standings, the team was in 1st place overall for the first 4 rounds until at Fernbay Ray and Chris had hard luck and scored very little points, the same thing happening at the street course at South City. On the Autocross layouts the team found themselves in good positions, but because of bad frame rates Ray was forced to start and park or be very cautious not to hit other drivers. This limited the points the team could get and unfortunately we dropped to 3rd. We are happy that Chris was able to finish 7th overall, and probably would’ve been higher if not missing the last round, Ray in 14th with missing a round and having frame rate issues, plus 3 DNF’s., and others racing a few rounds for the fun of it. We are proud of ourselves and hope we can continue on the momentum. Many thanks to those who participated from the team: Ray Kings, Brandon Reed, Juliano F., Chris Kasch, and Antti Heimo.
Legend Car Heat and Shelby Can Am

Bmxtwns and Patch hit the track with the legend cars at Bristol and immediately the team’s dominance in the series could be seen. Bmxtwins qualified 2nd and quickly made way up to 1st followed by Patch. Leading every single lap Bmxtwins finished the race in first and Patch less than a 10th of a second behind in second position. The second race of the series came and Bmxtwins qualified pole position at Ace. Immediately teammates Patch and Bmxtwins went into an intensive battle but Bmxtwins slipped into 2nd and finished there with Patch in 3rd. At Dover Downs Bmxtwins had a bad qualifying run and with an uneventful track and no teammate present finished a miserable 4th (patch had PC problems). Going into Jennerstown Bmxtwins was the prerace favorite but quickly found himself in 2nd after leading the first lap. Bmxtwins finished one lap down in 2nd place after head onning a wall and suffering massive damage, Patch was not present once again. The latest round at Limerock Park was dominated by Bmxtwins as he qualified 3rd and quickly worked his way back to 4th and then up to 1st with the most laps lead and winning the race. Patch finnishing 12.6 second behind in 2nd place. How will the boys do tonight at Derry? Can Bmxtwins hold his 16 point lead. Or will Patch make a move for the win.

Another race that in which the LLM team participated in was the Shelby Can Am series by SpeedSims. The first round was at Blackhawk Farms, Oldns_low,Blaxman,Bmxtwins,Patch,and MousemanLV showed up to represent the Last Lap Motorsports team. The first round was dominated by Bmxtwins who qualified pole and then went on to lead and win the race. Mouseman was able to race the first race but DNF’ed due to lack of time and his running mate Patch shows up for the 2nd heat. The team takes to the track again, Bmxtwins in 4th but unforuntaley involved in a racing accident in turn 1 with Chris Koot. Bmxtwins currently tied for second, one point off first, oldns_low tied for 4th, Blaxman and Patch on 11th, and MousemanLv scoring 0 points sits in 14th. For the team championship LLM sits 2nd 2 points off of SpeedSims Racing, and Last Lap Motorsports 2 squad in 7th with a small 5 points.

LLM in the Past Month
September was a very eventful month for the Last Lap Motorsports team. In MiniFBM the team took over first place for the team standings after great driving from Ray, Chris, and Juliano. Chris currently holds 4th in the MiniFBM overall individual driver points. Also many LLM drivers took to the track in the first 2 rounds of the Junior FOX Series 2010 with some decent finishing positions, though bad luck for th #88 of Brandon Reed in round 1 and 2 as well as other drivers who could not get the feel towards the edited Aston Club track. Also many drivers have joined to the LLM stable including: Chris Kasch, Brandon Reed, Kalle Pesonen, Elvis Libietis, Simon, Emil, James Harridge, Antti Heimo, and our newest recruit Rui. These drivers are all new within the past month or two and have made LLM a much better place to race.
In NASCAR Heat LLM maintained a bit more success. In SpeedSims Indy ( http://www.speedsims.net ) league Patch pulled a Silver for individual driver points and the Last Lap Motorsports team grasped the Gold Medal for Team Points. Bmxtwins, Patch, and Oldns_low intensly fought to the end of this series despight bad luck in 2 rounds. In the Legend Car Heat Racing League ( http://www.lchrl.info ) Bmxtwins pulls a strong performance at Bristol leading all 100 laps followed by Patch in 2nd. Coming into round 2 at Ace Bmxtwins started pull but quickly dropped to 4th as Patch and FFS_T-Bone fought for 2nd and 3rd. Eventually Bmxtwins worked his way into 2nd and Patch into 3rd. Bmxtwins leads the points over Patch 52-47. At NascarHeatRacingLeague.com Bmxtwins has a miserable race at Phoenix and then comes back with a 4th place finish at Road America, to be in a mediocre 7th in the Truck Series point standings.
GT3 Touring Car Cup & Signings
GT3 Touring Car Cup
After a 7 race series and a struggle with the underpowered FX GT3 #25 Last Lap Motorsports finishes the season in 3rd place, rounding off the series podium. The series consisted of many 2-3 hour races, Last Lap Motorsports consistently showed for the races and managed to keep up in the points standings. The final race of the season was an important race in the standings as it was a double points event. Jarl Teien started off the race in 3rd place and quickly made use of his r3 r2 tyre strategy over the Drunkteam’s R4 R3 strategy. However it because clear drunk had an advantage because they could slide through the turns, but LLM’s tires grew thin very quickly. Because of this AroX was forced to lay off and wait to make adjustments. After a close battle with DRUNK and Mega Racing Team that involved many bumps and nudges through the hair pin and chicanes there was little gain by arox. Ray Kings (Bmxtwins) jumped into the car to take hours 3 and 4, his first hour he was able to sustain 3rd place and when a caution was called for Drunk team’s tires popping due to no heat during caution laps Bmxtwins imediately pitted 10 minutes early and popped back out in 3rd place. By the time the restart got under way Ray’s early stop was beneficial. Ray realized he had much speed over the Mega Team FZR and had made a 16 second gap, Ray backed off and conserved tires. What Ray did not realize was how fast thir second driver was. Ray handed the car off to Joel Villa (SilverFang) who immediately falls back to 4th. Joel races the last hour with all his skill but Last Lap Motorsports is only able to take 4th.
Overall howerver a podium was taken.

NHeat: Bmxtwins rounds out the podium at Memphis
The end is coming to the New Age Sim Racing NASCAR Heat triple series, with just 2 races left in the Nationwide series Bmxtwins scores a 3rd place at Memphis with teammate Patch on his heels. After qualifying 4th and quickly moving to 3rd,Bmxtwins is followed by brother Mustangman, and then teammate Patch. The 3 red LLM cars kept straight and stayed clean as cars ahead battled for the uppermost positions. GTSVip9 eventually overpowered the trio on his charge to first. Mustangman had moved behind Patch by pitstop time and Patch was smelling Bmxtwins’ bumper. To avoid chaos Bmxtwins gave up his long run strategy to gain bonus points by leading laps and pitted 1 lap before half way, this proved to pay off as he had no traffic entering or exiting the pits. The other 2 LLM cars pitted on normal strategy and Bmxtwins zipped by them as they were coming off the apron. With 20 to go Bmxtwins and Patch hounded down Blackflag8′s Chevy and started to work on him, Bmxtwins made it by for a few laps but slipped up and the position was given back. The race was nearing the end when Bmxtwins darted passed the #8 and was able to get in front of him in the next lap, the #26 Budweiser of Patch also flung by the #8 and attempted to catch the #25 Budweiser Chevrolet, but Bmxtwins had opened up a large gap, finishing 3rd behind GTSVip9 and Donaldson. Mustang came out a dissapointing 7th position.
